The feeler gauge is also called a micrometer or a thickness gauge. It is a measuring instrument used to check the space. The size of the seam can be read directly.
Before using the feeler gauge, the dirt and dust on the feeler gauge and the workpiece must be removed. When in use, one or several pieces can be overlapped and inserted into the space, and it is better to feel a little drag. When measuring, the action should be light, and hard insertion is not allowed. It is also not allowed to measure parts with higher temperatures.
Insert the feeler gauge into the measured space, pull the feeler gauge back and forth, and feel a little resistance, indicating that the spacevalue is close to the value marked on the feeler gauge; if the resistance is too large or too small when pulling, it indicates the spaceThe value is less than or greater than the value marked on the feeler gauge.
When measuring and adjusting the space, first select a feeler gauge that meets the spaceregulations and insert it into the measured space, and then adjust while pulling the feeler gauge until the lock nut is tightened when you feel a little resistance. The marked value is the measured spacevalue.
