Generally, the driving board with 3v-12v working voltage can be used (the working voltage of the driving board and the working voltage of the stepping motor are two different things and have no inevitable relationship). If the stepping motor is too hot during the operation of self selected drive, the drive output voltage can generally be adjusted down, that is, the current of the stepping motor can be adjusted down (the drive usually has a potentiometer) to an acceptable heating level.

The following figure shows the installation of P4 function pin cap and its corresponding working mode.
Normal mode 1:s1 start stop button, S2 forward and reverse button, W2 potentiometer speed regulation. If limit reversal is required, two limit switches can be externally connected to the P3 pin, and the motor motion shaft is equipped with a contact piece, so that the motor will move back and forth within the travel between the two limit switches.
Normal mode 2: S1 forward start button, S2 reverse start button, press any key to stop. W2 potentiometer speed regulation. If limit stop is required, two limit switches can be connected externally to the P3 pin, so that the motor will stop moving when it touches the limit switch, and the motor will reverse after touching the opposite button.
Inching mode: S1 press forward rotation, release stop, S2 press reverse rotation, release stop, W2 potentiometer speed regulation. If limit stop is required, connect the upper limit switch on P3.
Automatic round trip mode: S1 starts and stops, S2 reverses, W2 potentiometer adjusts speed, and W1 potentiometer adjusts the number of automatic round trip steps. After starting, the motor will automatically run back and forth within W1 regulated steps.
